The children book “SWEET HONEY” is created by Ying Yang.
Every part of the works was created with Photoshop’s pen tools, shapes and
brushes. The story is about two bees working in a nice spring day, one of the
bees, Moe, was complaining that their lives are too short to work hard, they
should have enjoyed their lives instead of working. And the other bee, Gigi,
with a positive attitude told Moe that even though their lives are short, but
the most important thing about life is to accomplish something, and their hard
works aren’t unworthy, both human beings and themselves could be benefit from
the works.
The artwork used most of the warm colors trying to express warm
and positive message. It also used shapes, lines to form the bees. By creating
the facial expressions on the bees, it exposed the bees’ personalities and
their attitudes toward life.
There are lots of people complaint about their circumstances,
through the artwork, I want to spread a positive attitude to the kids also
adults. Life is imperfect, but with a positive attitude, we can make our lives
better and happier.
